The I See You Awards® is looking for a theme song!  But, not just any theme song!  We’re looking for one that will help represent and grow our brand; one that is unique and grabs the listener’s attention!

To help us discover our new one-of-a-kind theme song, we are holding a contest to discover the song that will debut as part of our 5th annual awards ceremony in August 2021.

In order to qualify, the song must be the original work of the artist.  Complete rules are provided below:

The I See You Awards® accepts online entries only.  To enter online, visit our page on FilmFreeway. When you enter online, you can upload your song(s) as mp3s or you can provide a link where our judges can listen to your songs online.

Entrant may submit as many songs as desired.  The entry fee is $35.00 per song. For example, if you enter one song, the fee is $35.00. If you enter two songs, the fee is $70.00. If you enter three songs, the fee is $105.00, etc. Each time you add a song, you’ll need to add $35.00 to your entry fee.

Entries will be judged not only on the songwriting, but also on the overall delivery/performance of the song. All genres of music are accepted and will be considered.

Any song entered cannot be owned in any part by a music publishing company (entrant must own 100% of the publishing rights to the song).

All entries submitted must be original songs and shall not infringe any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Songs may have multiple co-writers, but only one name should be designated as the Entrant on your submission.  All songwriters must be listed on the submission.  Please list the full name of the songwriter(s) - do not use initials. Entrant shall, by entering, indemnify and hold the I See You Awards® harmless from and against any claims inconsistent with the foregoing.

The I See You Awards® theme song contest is open to all amateur and professional songwriters and anyone regardless of nationality or origin. Employees or subcontractors of the I See You Awards®, its families, subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible to enter. If entrant is under 18 years old, the permission of a parent or guardian is required and must be included with your submission.

All entry fees are non-refundable. The I See You Awards® will not be able to provide feedback or a critique to entrants.

Any entry materials (CDs, tapes, and videos) submitted will not be returned to the entrant. The I See You Awards® is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen, incomplete, or misappropriated entries.

The I See You Awards® reserves the right to extend the entry deadline and increase or reduce entry fees for special promotions and/or entry deadline periods.

Entries will be screened by an I See You Awards® listening committee who will select the finalists, and the finalists will be sent to the judges who will select the winners. The judges consist of accomplished music industry professionals, such as recording artists, songwriters and music professors.

Songs will be judged equally on melody, composition, originality, lyrics (when applicable) and production value.  Lyrics must be in English.

The prize will be awarded to the first name as it appears on the entry form, and division of prize among co-authors is the responsibility of the winner. Entrant agrees to accept the final decision of the I See You Awards® and its judges.

Entrants cannot be signed to or have any affiliation with a major label record company (for example, Sony BMG, EMI Group, Universal Music Group, or Warner Music Group or any of their affiliates, subsidiaries or imprints) or have distribution through a major label or its affiliates.

Only entrants who are on independent labels, their own label, or no label are eligible to enter.
