Robert Forte Shannon, III, AKA "Seven", and I See You Awards® founder Terri J. Lee go way back. As far back as 2011 when Seven starred as "Big Head" in Terri's first low-budget short film, "Quickee Loob." Terri has been looking for an opportunity to work with Seven once again, and on Sunday, August 27th, she'll get her wish when Seven joins the I See You Awards® team as one of our special invited presenters!
Seven's career proves that it's certainly possible to make a mark as an actor in a low-budget film.
Since Seven's starring role in "Quickee Loob," he has gone on to star, co-star or be a featured actor in numerous productions, including "Sparkle," co-starring Jordin Sparks and the late Whitney Houston. He has a very notable scene opposite Derek Luke's character, "Stix."
He's also had appearances in Low Winter Sun, Chicago P.D., Chi-Raq, and I Am Wrath, opposite none other than John Travolta. Other upcoming productions include Detroiters, Faceless, Captive State, Strain 100, and Aladdin 3477.
You can find out more about Seven on his imdB page.
We're so proud of Seven and so very excited that Seven will be joining us! And if you're an aspiring actor looking for some advice from someone who most assuredly has some to share, you'll want to join us at the awards and look for Seven during our networking opportunities.
Tickets to the film screenings on Thursday, August 24th, and the awards ceremony on Sunday, August 27th, are available via our Eventbrite page.
The I See You Awards® are sponsored by the Michigan Film & Digital Media Office, Bel Air Luxury Cinema, Emagine Entertainment, ES Communications Agency, Franklin Publicity, Pro Cam, Srodek's Campau Quality Sausage, Co., Randazzo Formal Wear, The Lee Group and WWJ Newsradio 950.
We hope to see you there!
