You may not be familiar with the name Nephrateri just yet, but trust us, that’s all about to change. This 25-year-old is a star on the rise.
Nephrateri is the owner of the “A-Game Writers Song Placement Team.” Under her leadership, her song writing and production team has secured several song placements with the 20th Century Fox hit musical dramas: “EMPIRE” and "STAR". That would be considered a major accomplishment for any musician, but when you consider that she’s really just getting started, it’s even more impressive.
But for anyone who wants to call her an overnight success, don’t, because she’s been working at her craft for a long time. During her childhood growing up on the south side of Jackson, Michigan, Nephrateri’s parents exposed her to all the gospel greats, such as Commissioned, The Clark Sisters, and Sounds of Blackness, just to name a few. She says that was how she first fell in love with singing; by imitating all the riffs and runs she would hear and then turning them into her own.
As an independent artist in her own right, we couldn’t be happier to welcome Nephrateri to the Blue Carpet as a co-host of the 2nd Annual I See You Awards®! She’ll be joining us as we recognize and reward the accomplishments of low-budget indie filmmakers.
