Congrats to Emagine Entertainment, Which Now Ranks Among Top 10 Movie Theaters in North America

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

Emagine Entertainment, which started in 1989 with just one screen and 265 seats, currently operates 28 theaters in four states. How did they do it?

Our founder, Terri Lee Chandler, spoke with Paul Glantz, Emagine's co-founder and chairman, to find out.

Their very enlightening conversation is the topic of the latest episode of Terri's podcast, Terri Talks Movies. You can check it out here!

Editor's Note: I See You Awards® Founder Terri Lee Chandler is the film critic for WWJ Newsradio 950 in Detroit, and a voting member of the Critics Choice Association (CCA), the largest film critics group in the U.S. and Canada; the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), SAG-AFTRA and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Emagine's Royal Oak location is the official home of the I See You Awards

Emagine Entertainment has been a valued supporter and partner of the I See You Awards® since our first event in 2017.

This year's I See You Awards will be held at the Emagine Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan, which will host both our film festival on Thursday, August 18, and our black tie, blue carpet awards ceremony on Sunday, August 21. We also have some other events planned as well, so be sure to stay tuned for all the details, which will be released soon!

Our Mission

Our mission at the I See You Awards® is to recognize and reward the accomplishments of independent filmmakers. Are you one of the next I See You Awards® winners?
