Presenting a Sneak Peek at the 2020 Short Film Submissions!



As we prepare to announce this year's official selections, we thought we'd share trailers (when available) for the films that have been submitted into the 4th Annual I See You Awards®. So, starting today, and continuing throughout the week, we will be shining a spotlight on this year's submissions. And, once you see them, we're sure you'll agree that the work of independent filmmakers definitely deserves to be seen. That's why we like to say, "We see you!"


Please note that this is the first of several posts featuring this year's entries, starting with the short film category. So, be sure to check back tomorrow for more!


Mash Note


Mash Note is from Writer/Producer/Director Justin R. Brown, who is based in Flint, Michigan. Brown says his movie "is an exploration of the lengths we'll go to either express our feelings or keep them buried."



Shadowland


Writer/Producer/Director bellopropello, based in Switzerland, says of his movie, "The diverse communication options offered by a cell phone influence our social and consumer behavior."



SINGH


SINGH is 18-year-old Jenna Ruiz's directorial debut. Ruiz says SINGH "tells the story that occurred in May of 2007 when Gurinder Singh Khalsa (a Sikh man who wears a turban) was not allowed to board an airline without the removal of his turban to be further inspected by TSA agents."



The Circle


In "The Circle," from filmmaker Carlton Thompson, "a doctor brings a circle of strangers together to tell their personal struggles, life views, experiences."

The animated film "waiting by the phone" is from student filmmaker Olivia Jensen, who says of her film, "as one woman living in an apartment for two, Dani struggles to live while coping with the tragic truth about her sister."
